The ladies of Salt Lake City have never had a bad season. The midseason trailer dropped yesterday afternoon, and it promises an explosive end to this season. It might even top last season’s finale, which I’d rank as one of the Real Housewives franchise’s best episodes of all time.
This episode continued the chaos, even if the husbands are a bit too involved in all of the drama this season. As I said last week, I don’t need this to turn into New Jersey! But I will admit that the husband drama this week was more fun than Todd threatening to shut down everyone’s fun just because Bronwyn and Lisa were fighting. If you’re gonna be a messy husband, then you might as well give us Peter “Patricia” Thomas from Real Housewives of Atlanta and scream about “PROOF!” at a dinner table while there are strangers you’ve never met at the other end.
We pick up where we left off, with Todd informing John Barlow that Lisa needs to be reigned in or they need to get to stepping. John parlays this information to Lisa. And I’m sorry, you’ll never make me hate Lisa Barlow. Not only does this woman completely ignore Todd’s ass (who are you kicking out, this is not your show, sir) and start another fight at dinner but she also gives us an insane Scarlett O’Hara breakdown at the end of the episode when she’s forced to fly coach home to Salt Lake City. On a 47-minute flight. I saw variations of “this is your fave?” online as if I’m personal friends with Lisa and therefore need to defend her actions. No, I’m watching Real Housewives. And Lisa being reduced to tears because she has to fly coach is FUNNY. And if you don’t find it funny maybe this is the wrong show for you! Either that, or you fly coach too. I’m 6’3”, I do not.
