This week I wrote about meeting Glenn Close at one of my neighborhood go-tos, Cafe Cluny.
Never Hungover articulated my (and my friends’) growing obsession with Elf Bars and how it has regressed adults to teenagers.
I revisited a Bon Appétit article about how Resy is the bane of my existence in New York.
I am obsessed with new K-pop group Fifty Fifty, who have abandoned the bombastic stadium arena tour sounds of Blackpink-esque groups for mid-tempo jams like “Cupid” and “Tell Me.” It reminds me of Secret, one of the first K-pop groups I was ever introduced to by my first roommate in Los Angeles. “Starlight Moonlight” had me in a CHOKEHOLD the entire summer of 2011. I’ve missed mid-tempo K-pop ever since Red Velvet made a perfect pop/R&B album with Perfect Velvet (with songs produced by The Stereotypes who worked with Danity Kane!!).
Kylie is back and the song is spectacular (it’s giving Aphrodite vibes), even if the video is a bit whatever. I’ve still never seen Kylie live, so I’m salivating at the prospect of a world tour.
A little bit gagging over Aimé Leon Dore’s Unisphere Candle. Which I ordered online because that store is so run thru that the thought of trying to step foot it gives me anxiety. And now that it’s reopened with a restaurant that serves beer and wine, Mulberry street is going to be like navigating the Bramble Bast from Donkey Kong Country 2.
finally the return of the candle recs.
