I kept a running tally of every film I watched this year. Caveat is they are films I haven’t seen before or I barely remember watching them so they feel new. I did not include the multiple times I watched Scream 2 this year. It’s good to remind myself that I need to be more expansive with my film viewing, which didn’t really happen this year because I spent most of the year marathoning Love and Hip-Hop: Atlanta to numb my existential dread.
There’s a bunch of awards season films I’ll get to in the next month; one in particular I missed because I left Los Angeles when it started screening in theaters (Drive My Car); but aside from those, if you have suggestions of things I missed this year, drop them in the comments!

*This isn’t a ranking it’s a chronological order, but this one might be my favorite of the year.
**This is undoubtedly the worst; and also a case against interracial relationships!!! This was a fucking Christmas version of Get Out.
The Worst Person in the World is definitely one of the best of the year!
